Holistic Wellness & Mental Health Support
At the highest levels of academia, success requires more than just intellectual rigor; it requires emotional resilience, in particular, students and immigrants face a unique intersection of intense academic pressure, cultural transition, and the weight of family expectations. We believe that true advising must encompass the whole person.
We have English and Mandarin speaking mental health coaches to support you. All sessions have a flat rate of USD$120 per 60 mins, and USD$150 for 90 mins. We offer limited spots for clients in need of financial support on a sliding scale.
Our Therapeutic Approaches & Techniques We utilize a highly tailored, integrative framework to support our international scholars, drawing on recognized psychological methodologies:
Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT): Helping students identify and reframe the perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and negative thought patterns that often accompany high-stakes applications and rigorous coursework.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): A forward-looking, goal-directed approach that empowers students to overcome immediate academic hurdles, manage time-anxiety, and build practical problem-solving skills.
Mindfulness & Somatic Grounding: Equipping students with emotional regulation techniques to manage exam panic, application burnout, and the isolation that can accompany studying abroad.
Multicultural & Transitional Counselling: Providing a culturally safe space to process the shock of relocation, navigate cross-cultural communication in new university settings, and balance personal identity with institutional expectations.
