Ashley Yuna
FounderRegistered Clinical Counsellor Candidate
Ashley Yuna brings an international and interdisciplinary perspective to her work, with academic training across Canada, Japan, China, and the Czech Republic in Clinical Counselling. Her research spans cultural, social, and personality psychology, alongside gender studies, informing a nuanced understanding of identity, adaptation, and lived experience across contexts.
Her practice focuses on immigrants and international students, from high school through university, with particular attention to cultural transition, identity development, and the emotional complexities of navigating multiple systems and expectations. She has extensive experience supporting clients through cultural displacement, academic pressure, and the often unspoken challenges of building a life in a new environment. A significant part of her work is also dedicated to new immigrants—especially mothers—navigating major life transitions and shifting roles.
Ashley integrates evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Schema Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. She also has a strong interest in working with adult ADHD clients, offering executive functioning coaching tailored to high-achieving individuals seeking clarity, structure, and sustainable progress.
Ashley is a member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (No. 7573544) and serves as a representative with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
She does not offer direct insurance billing. A limited number of reduced-fee spaces are available for students on a sliding scale.
