Ashley Yuna

Founder

Mental Health Coach Counsellor, B.A., B.Sc., M.A., M.A.C.P. Candidatus

Ashley Yuna brings an international and interdisciplinary perspective to her work, with academic training across Canada, Japan, China, and the Czech Republic in Psychology. Her research spans cultural, social, and personality psychology, alongside gender studies, informing a nuanced understanding of identity, adaptation, and lived experience across contexts. She received academic training in psychology at UBC, and is currently accepting advanced Clinical Counselling training at YU.

Her practice focuses on immigrants and international students, from high school through university, with particular attention to cultural transition, identity development, and the emotional complexities of navigating multiple systems and expectations. She has extensive experience supporting clients through cultural displacement, academic pressure, and the often unspoken challenges of building a life in a new environment. A significant part of her work is also dedicated to new immigrants—especially mothers—navigating major life transitions and shifting roles.

Ashley integrates evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Schema Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. She also has a strong interest in working with adult ADHD clients, offering executive functioning coaching tailored to high-achieving individuals seeking clarity, structure, and sustainable progress.

Ashley is affiliated with Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

Mike Li

Founding Therapist

Changework practitioner, hypnotist, coach, counsellor

Mike Li’s practice blends changework, Ericksonian hypnosis, NLP coaching, and counseling to tailor a unique experience for each individual. His academic training in psychology, behavioral science, and industrial/organizational psychology has brought him to research labs in universities and business schools. Later, he worked as a consultant in top tier organizational and strategy consulting firms for clients across the APAC region on topics such as organizational culture, leadership development, and team effectiveness.

Mike splits his time between working professionally as a consultant and creating artworks. Apart from working with clients in a business environment and context, he has, therefore, experience working with creatives in both individual and group workshop settings. His primary focus centers around unsticking from existing patterns to create shifts in mindset and behaviors. His general approach is process-oriented and solution-focused.

Formally trained in psychology at both University of California, Los Angeles and New York University, Mike obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology respectively. He is currently based in Shanghai, China and offers in person consultation. To book a session, please use the Contact Form below.
